Pottery Wheel Throwing 201

4 Week Class - 2 Classes Per Week
Cost: $180 (includes clay)
Minimum and Maximum of 2 People Per Session
This class is ongoing through out the year; times vary.

Class held at: Wild Womyn Studio

Prerequisite for this class as follows: That you can throw a centered cylinder form and have working knowledge of how to trim your pieces. I will be teaching handle pulling in this class and information on different types of clays and glazing.

Extra wheel time will be $25 an hour, providing your own clay. Be sure to wear old clothes and shoes because you will get clay/glaze on you.

First Week

1st Session: 1-1/4 hour class

Orientation and throw 4 mugs (White clay - Med. Fire)

2nd Session: 1-1/2 hour class

Trim and pull handles

Second Week

3rd Session: 1-1/4 hour class

Throw 4 mugs (White clay - High Fire)

4th Session: 1-1/2 hour class

Trim and pull handles and glaze last weeks work

Third Week

5th Session: 1-1/4 hour class

Throw 3-4 Vases

6th Session: 1-1/2 hour class

Trim, and apply under glazing (paint)

Fourth Week

7th Session:

Glaze, glaze, glaze

8th Session:

Practice pulling handles

A non refundable deposit of $25 is due two weeks before the first class date or as soon as possible to reserve your spot. The balance is due on the first day of class.
